A new statistical method is being developed to interpret data collected by a distributed array of accelerometers with the hope of better understanding riser fluid-structure interaction. This research is being conducted by Professor Bert Sweetman, PhD Candidate M.K. Choi, and Junior Undergraduate Student April Spiller. This material is based upon work largely supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant Number CMS-0428585, "Sensors: Statistical Algorithm Development for Distributed Sensor Networks with Application to Structural Health Monitoring and State Assessment" Any opinions, findings and conclusions or recomendations expressed in this material are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation (NSF).
