Reliable Marine Structures Group
|
The rms-group is a small research organization run by Professor
Bert Sweetman in the
Maritime Systems Engineering Department at Texas A&M University at
Galveston. Present research is on application of statistical methods and random vibration theory to offshore marine risers and to offshore wind turbines.
The group also serves as a focal point for
the ongoing use and development of the Marine-related tools and
techniques resulting from research in the (now defunct) Marine part of
the
Reliability of Marine Structures Group at Stanford University.
Seismic-related research continues at Stanford University under Assistant Professor
Jack Baker. If you
were previously a sponsor of the RMS research group at Stanford, you are
automatically a
member of this user's group. The usernames and passwords here
are the same as those at the
Reliabilty of Marine Structures website.
A collection of published papers, presentations, research reports and PhD
theses have been produced by the RMS group at Stanford.
Many of these are available for download.
